Whether you want to fly, fly / drive or drive all the way, we’ve included several options to help you join us for our special day.
Car Rental
If you’re choosing a flying option, we strongly recommend hiring a car to be able to get around. Taxi’s are available, but are limited in availability and there is NO Uber,
Wick, Inverness and Edinburgh airports all offer car hire.
Campervan Rental
For those wanting to explore the north coast of Scotland, a campervan is a great way to see the famous NC500 route. There are plenty of campsites where you can stay overnight, but we recommend planning your route and booking with the campsites to ensure you get a plot on the night you want to stay.
Google provides lots of places where you can hire campervans in Edinburgh, Inverness, or Wick.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles

The nearest Airport is Wick John O’Groats Airport. Flights are currently available connecting through Aberdeen. Easyjet and British Airways fly from London to Aberdeen and flights from Aberdeen to Wick are available with Eastern Airlines.

If you want to enjoy a beautiful coastal drive and less flying, then British Airways and EasyJet fly from London to Inverness, where you can collect a car to drive north for 2.5 hours along the coastline.
If you prefer to experience the Scottish highlands then fly to Edinburgh where you can drive north through the highlands.
Several airlines fly from London to Edinburgh and there are plenty car rental places. The journey is around 6 hours, but there are some lovely places to stay overnight or to stop at to break-up the 6 hour drive.
House of Bruar is a recommend stop if traveling from Edinburgh.
Car rental is available from several companies at Edinburgh and Inverness airports. -
If you prefer to drive from Bracknell, the travel time is around 14 hours. including comfort breaks.

There are trains from London to Thurso, but you’ll need to change trains several times, and may require any overnight stay between changes.
Trains are available from Inverness to Thurso with a travel time of around 4 hours.
